JURY DUTY
yup yup… i got it… and now looks like i have to go tomorrow…. i missed the
cut off number by like 145…. oh well… i gotta serve my time… i
guess it will definitely be an interesting experience….although i
have to drive up to south san fran… bleh…. not looking forward to
that…..anyone done jury duty? i’m thinking of bringing a book… b/c
i hear the waits long….

bring a book! I did it and they selected 6 jurors out of about 50 people. they called names and asked if we still lived in the area, and if we had donated any money to MADD or had any reason to think we might not be able to objectively decide on a drunk driving case. then they started at the top of the list and the lawyers either accepted or cut us. they never even got to me before they had their 6, but this took 2.5 hours in a small town without hassles like metal detectors.

Last week. That was me.
Take a book, or some magazines…take some goodies (cause you dont want to pay them bastards for their candy machines)….and dont forget a beverage. Easy with the weapons…i dont think they’ll let you enter the building with them.
I was out by 10:30 am…took the rest of the day off, visited the California Science Center (or whatever it’s) with my lil sister.
I’ve been called numerous times, but was able to get out of it. I’m currently living in fear of the jury duty card since I registered to vote in SB in time for this latest election. Guada and his sister both had jury duty somewhat recently and actually enjoyed it. But yeah, there’s a lot of waiting. Do you call the morning of it to see if you even have to go in? That’s what they had to do.
